Rabbi Fisherman

Rabbi Fisherman
This is a quick pencil sketch of a Rabbi that I saw in a newspaper. I wasn't aiming for an accurate portrait, just a loose line drawing. Due to that, his hat came out funny looking. It reminds me of a fisherman hat...

Cottage cheese

Cottage cheese
Cottage cheese is quite popular at my house. We usually eat it straight out of the can.

Crumb

Graduation 1
About a year after graduating from my high-school, I took my graduation book and started to draw some of the students and teachers portraits. I got that idea after watching a documentary about Robert Crumb. There was a scene in that movie where Robert is hunching over his graduation book, sketching some students. I remember being inspired by this movie. Crumb was also the reason I started using a rapidograph, though it's been years since I last used one.

Pebble doodling

Sea pebbles
At the sea, I collect pebbles and shells. Later, I take a permanent marker and doodle on my finds.

Faces I

Faces I
Three portraits from an old sketchbook from 1999. Back then, I had a habit of drawing people from newspapers. These days I hardly read any normal newspaper, only news sites on the web.
Top: Self portrait.
Bottom: Ariel Sharon.
Right: Martin Indyk.

Ohmmm...

Ohmmm...
Stop. Take a time-out. Find a quiet place away from everyone. Breath slow and deep. Close your eyes and...
